Camp Objectives

Individual Ball Control

As a camper you will be presented with a variety of ball control skills each day! Proper technique will be shown starting with a 1v1 format for all ages. Feints, fakes, cuts, drags, step overs & scissors are some of the technical skills emphasized

Team Offense

Off the ball movement, 3rd player running, and proper positioning are stressed starting with a 2v1 format. Proper spacing, collecting & turning with the ball will be emphasized. The 2v1 model will gradually build throughout the week to become a 5v5 model by Thursday.

Team Defense

Team & individual defense will be presented with a slightly different twist. Pressure, cover & support will be thoroughly covered. What you and your teammates do without the ball effects both your team and how your opponent moves the ball down the field. is huge!

Awards

By the time the ‘Bird Camp’ ends, you will have been introduced to the various topics mentioned above throughboth individual ball skills and small sided soccer games that will make your week a fun filled learning experience
